Cloud Fixture Database

The Cloud Fixture Database is where you can find all available Fixture profiles Blackout has to offer. The first thing you want to do when you get to this screen is tap the Sync Database button in the top right corner so that you can download and sync the latest Fixture profiles. These are updated daily so make sure to tap this often. If you don't find the profile you are looking for, you can either make a custom Fixture or request it via the Blackout Help Center!

IMPORTANT

The first thing you want to do when you get to this screen is tap the Sync Database button in the top right corner

TIP

If you don't find the Fixture profile you are looking for, first do a search under Manufacturer for Generic. This section contains many common profiles that might match your needs such as LED tape - RGB, RGBW, RGBAW, etc

Blackout's Website

We've made it incredibly easy to find your light. You can filter by any or all of the three major categories - Manufacturers, Fixtures, and Modes/Descriptions. Start by typing in either the Manufacturer or the Fixture Name in the appropriate search box. Blackout will instantly bring up all of the matching Manufacturers or Fixtures and the available profiles from that search in the 3rd Column. Narrow down your search until you find the right profile.

If you are unsure what profile to patch for your light, try tapping the Preferred switch. This will filter the search to show you only Jeff's preferred profiles (if available).

INFO

Any profile that has a Verified button next to it means that it has been checked by the Fixture Database Team at Blackout and is a good indicator that this profile should work correctly in Blackout.

If you find yourself constantly creating new showfiles and wanting to patch the same profiles again, you can star a profile to add it to your Cloud Favorites. This section lives at the top of the Manufacturers column and allows you quick access to those same profiles without having to search the database over and over.

To add a light to your Showfile, pick the Mode you want and press the Patch (#) button on the right. The number in (#) is the DMX footprint of that profile.
